Shooting on the beach is tougher than it looks. I always come with an arsenal in my set bag, ready for whatever might come my way. But on this day the hair and wind gods were on our side! While it might looks like a medieval torture device, it’s really the quickest way to make your eyes pop. My favorite is Kevyn Aucoins! Shu Uemura also makes a great one.

Tip for using:
Start at the base of your lashes and press down. Release to the middle of your lashes and press again. Release to almost the end of your lashes for a final press. This is called “walking the lash.”
Safety tip- Don’t clamp down on your eyelid.
Use BEFORE mascara. Unless you want to look like Minnie Mouse.
Speaking of Mascara … It’s a fact that in every pro artist kit is a drugstore brand mascara. (Gasp in horror!!) You heard right! From the good ol’ Maybelline green and pink tube to my favorite mascara, L’oreal Voluminous. As artists, we spend serious money to buy what works the best. But when it comes to mascara the drugstore brands have it down. L’oreal Voluminous now comes in Carbon Black in their waterproof formula. Whoo hoo!
